Veterans' Journey to Hull and Back

Michael Harbord, MD of The Steadfast Group was one of two army veterans went that extra mile to help brave soldiers wounded in wars.
Peterlee men Christopher Hotham and Michael Harbord cycled 164 miles from Hull to home to raise cash for the Help the Heroes campaign.
The three-day trip raised more than [pounds sterling] 2,000, with more money still to be counted for the charity that offers support for injured servicemen and women.
The former soldiers set themselves the challenge after seeing young soldiers being killed and injured, but not getting the recognition they deserved for their heroism.
Lyke Wake Walkers Add £2,500 to Fund

A trek across the North York Moors has raised more than £2,500 towards a memorial to Wearside's fallen servicemen and women.
Janice Murray, whose son Michael Tench was killed in Iraq in January 2007, joined 22 workers from Steadfast Security Systems in Peterlee to complete the 42-mile walk Lyke Wake Walk.
